Company to highlight solutions for medical market at MD&M West

Covestro will officially introduce to the market Makroblend® M4000 FR polycarbonate/polybutylene terephthalate (PC+PBT) blend. Its winning combination of properties for patient monitoring, diagnostic, fluid delivery and medication delivery systems has been formulated specifically for OEMs seeking materials that are safe for skin contact, combined with flame retardancy and chemical resistance.
Covestro will also highlight customized polyurethane films and raw materials for adhesives and foams to address both patch fixation and embedding of electronics functions for wearables.
Several end-use applications utilizing Covestro’s outstanding materials and technologies will be on display at the booth, including a portable respiratory device and disposable polycarbonate instruments used in conjunction with orthopedic implant surgery.
